Derrick Callahan, proudly participated in SHSU’s Interior Design Trade Day — an event designed to connect more than 100 interior design students with professionals from across the industry. During the trade show–style event, Derrick engaged with students at the Gabriel Contract Solutions vendor table, offering insights into the latest contract materials, finishes, and industry trends while guiding them in sourcing products for their final design projects. His participation provided students with meaningful, real-world experience in communicating with manufacturer representatives, developing professional relationships, and understanding the practical side of material selection. This interaction not only supported their academic projects but also helped prepare them for successful transitions into the professional design industry.
